Our Pilates Teacher Training Program is built around the classical method — the full apparatus, the complete repertoire, and the depth of anatomical and kinesiological understanding that separates a competent instructor from an excellent one.
Upon completion, graduates are qualified to lead private sessions, duets, trios, and group classes across all apparatus formats.
Cheryl Combs Dunn is a Specialized GYROTONIC® Master Trainer — which means she doesn't just teach clients how to move. She certifies other instructors. Thrive hosts GYROTONIC® Foundation Courses, Update Courses, and specialized continuing education courses across Texas.
The path to becoming a Licensed Apprentice Instructor
A 12-day immersion providing the specific skills and techniques needed to teach the Level 1 GYROTONIC® curriculum. Upon successful completion, students become Licensed Apprentices — eligible to begin teaching professionally.
For Certified Instructors — biennial renewal requirement
A three-day intensive for Certified Instructors to refresh their teaching skills, refine their personal practice, and fulfill GYROTONIC® biennial trademark license renewal requirements.
For Certified Trainers who completed the JSB Course after 2009
